Description From the Newberry Library Catalogue: Holograph ms. essay written Mar. 25, 1893, by William Martin Beauchamp, apparently for J.C. Pilling, regarding George Martin Hill, rector of St. Paul’s in Syracuse, N.Y., 1857-1870, and preacher to the Onondaga. Essay also concerns [but does not include] Hill’s printed compilation Mission service for the Six Nations of Indians (1868), which contains extracts from the Book of Common Prayer in Oneida and English. Beauchamp presumably enclosed this note with the copy of Hill’s work that he had located for Pilling.
