Description Tracing made ca.1850 by Pierre Margry from 1731 manuscript map by army captain and Detroit commandant Henri-Louis Des Champs de Boishébert; traced from original in library of the Service Hydrographique, Paris. Shows Detroit River, the Windsor and Detroit regions, the northern coast of Lake Erie, and the southern half of Lake St Clair; identifies rivers, dry and wet prairies, Fort Pontchartrain, and Indian villages. Original in the Service Hydrographique extends further north through the St Clair River to the southern coast of Lake Huron.
